Some ISPs, such as MindSpring and Earthlink, require that you use their SMTP settings to send mail. If the settings below do not work for you, please contact your ISP.
OutlookŪ 2000 is an e-mail application.
To add an e-mail account to OutlookŪ:
Open your Outlook 2000 and
select "Tools" from menu then select "Accounts" This
will bring you to the internet accounts window shown below. Select "Add"
to add an account or select "Properties"
to adjust settings.
Here you will fill out your
general information including your name and email address. Please note
that your email address has to match the POP3 account for your domain. You
can not use your Internet provider email account here. Click on the "Servers"
Tab. The mail account name should be mail.yourdomain.com or
mail.yourdomain.net, etc.
Shown Below are the server
settings used in Outlook. Please make sure your incoming and
outgoing mail servers are mail.yourdomain.com. (or .net, .org., etc.)
Some Internet providers require you to use their outgoing email servers,
so you can replace the Outgoing (SMTP) server with that information but
leave the incoming set to your domain settings.
The Account name must be the
entire email address as shown below.
Check My Server Requires Authentication, click Settings.

Fill out the settings box as
below. Do not check "Log on using Secure Password
Authentication".
